October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31: Urban Grind Comedy night

Every Tuesday at 8pm, Urban Grind hosts a comedy night.
The All 3 Coast Festival in Atlanta is happening October 4th – 8th at the Georgia Freight Depot. Perfect event for the art and music freak. Not only is the lineup full of amazing artists, the dreamers can also get artist advice and industry info from industry leaders.
Perfect for the budding playwrights, authors, actors, and alike.
Oct 7: 7th Annual Hip Hop Day Festival
FREE! “The 7th Annual Atlanta Hip Hop Day Festival is a free family festival that pays tribute to the four elements of Hip Hop and Atlanta’s contribution to Hip Hop as a whole. The Festival is held downtown Atlanta at Robert Woodruff Park. The four sides of the park are dedicated to the four elements of Hip Hop displaying B-Boy & B-Girl exhibits, Emcee Battles, Turntablism and Graffiti artists.”
Oct 14 – 15: Afropunk Fest
“Carnival of Consciousness” this is a multicultural event with live music and good vibes. There’s an A-MAZ-ING line-up which includes Miguel, Solange, Willow Smith, Jamila Woods, and many many more.
As a Spelman College graduate (c/0 2012), I had to mention SpelHouse Homecoming Weekend 2017. Events will run Oct 19th – Oct 22nd. SpelHouse will pretty much be taking over the city this weekend. You can definitely catch me at tailgate Saturday at the AUC. See you there!
Oct 20: Taste of Atlanta
This is for all my foodies! 3 day food festival showcasing 90+ restaurants and 3 live kitchens. FOOD FOOD FOOD!
FRIGHT NIGHT! Every 2nd Friday of the month, Fernbank Museum holds a 21+ Fernbank After Dark event, and they’re doing a special event for the Halloween weekend. Enjoy the museum, food, and drinks.
A TALIAH WAAJID event, this one is for my fellow naturalistas. Connect other kinky, curly girls, participate in events, and shop.
